Brad Philpot
Entries - 9
Wins - 5
Plates - 2
Championships - 1
With a rich history in motorsport Brad joined the inaugural GX-UK grid and has helped it grow before a wheel even turned
Having previously been Red Bull kart fight UK champion in 2011, Nürburgring endurance champion in 2018 and 2019, and has also beaten F1 drivers to win the skills challenge at race of champions in 2015, along with racing BTCC in place of Jason Plato during the pandemic he really does have an amazing motorsports resume to share!
Having raced at club level in cadets and TKM in his younger years he has returned to his disciple to enjoy the sport once again now no longer chasing a full time race career and GX-UK and the ethos of Access Karting has really fit the bill to allow for some seriously fun, more relaxed racing with friends in (quote) “the friendliest paddock I’ve experienced in motorsport at a price that doesn’t leave me having to chase sponsors to start or continue racing”
Brad is currently closing in on the very first GX-UK championship, with a healthy lead at the time of writing this, as well as having taken the O and D plates in the last 12 months! Quite some achievement with the depth of competition and size of grid he is racing against!
Will this need to be updated in the off season of 2024 to state championships 1? We will watch with interest but we are just pleased to have Brad in the paddock handing out advice, helping promote this new class with his social media platforms and helping drive the required standard to compete at the front

Jacob started out karting as a 7, taking part in rental karting at his local kart track.
He then took a break but the bug never went away and he got back in the seat when in secondary school through teamsports.
in 2022 he took his first step into bigger events entering BIKC taking a 3rd on a very strong grid cementing his passion and knowledge he could compete on a national level.
From here he moved onto outdoor karting, taking part in the Sodi world endurance champs and dabbling in BPEC.
in 2024 he found GX-UK seniors and the price, ethos and competitiveness of the grid had him hooked from the get go!
Since joining Jacob has been at the sharp end in every race and came second in the championship at his first attempt, despite missing the first round and not having a drop round available to him.
Will 2025 be his year? We will enjoy watching the action unfold with keen interest.
